Born in France, and trained in Paris, Rémi managed salons ranging in size from 6 chairs to 60. A growing list of American clientele lured him to the U.S., working in exclusive salons throughout the Washington DC area, until he opened his own shop in 2006.

After his apprenticeship with Matrix National Performing Artist Terry Back, Jeremy’s career has been fast moving. His early work involved starting a regional beauty academy under the sponsorship of Columbia Beauty Supply where he traveled the country teaching advanced education and color trends. Soon after landing in Washington at 25, he became the color director at one of DC’s premier salons. Since then, Jeremy has established himself as an elite colorist recognized by numerous publications as well as on television including, Allure, Marie Claire, Washingtonian, FOX, TLC, and Harper’s Bazaar in which he was featured as one of the “Country’s 10 Best Hair Colorists”. As co-owner of One80 Salon, Jeremy has helped establish the salon as one of DC’s top salons. At his core is the focus on making haircolor more brilliant, consistent, purposeful and dimensional. His extensive knowledge of hair color and color theory has led him to be one of the most sought-after colorists in the city.
Heather's journey in the beauty industry began as a receptionist in a hair salon fourteen years ago. She soon realized her passion for hair color and began studying at Graham Webb International Academy of Hair. Upon completion, Heather enrolled in a year-long apprenticeship under a french hair colorist.
Heather considers hair to be a very subjective expression of one’s personality. She specializes in Balayage (a french highlighting technique that involves free-hand painting of highlights onto the hair; a color, remarkable for the dimension and definition that it creates), rich brunettes and has an uncanny eye for creating a believable red. While heather's signature looks can be described as vibrant, soft, and natural in appearance, she tailors color to suit a client’s eye color, skin tone and lifestyle.
Heather's accomplishments include, Allure Magazine, Washingtonian and The Hill. With fourteen years of experience behind her, heather is still passionate for the industry and can often be found in New York, Los Angeles and Miami on the weekends, participating in advanced education classes with some of the industry greats.
A fashion lover and military brat, Alanea Manuel, is a dynamo jack of all trades. Licensed in Maryland, DC and Virginia, she has broadened her skills and personalized them to compliment your individual style. A lover of all things artistic and couture, she spends her idle time training with the industry’s leading instructors in continuing education courses. Furthermore, she has also begun to add influential public figures to her repertoire such as the late Joan Rivers and Stephanie Dolson of the Washington Mystics.

Marina Lopez is an award winning nail technician. Marina has been recognized by industry leading publications, such as Allure Magazine and The Washington Post. She has worked in some of DC’s most recognized spas and salons as a highly sought after nail and waxing professional. Marina maintains an almost perfect retention rate of loyal clients, and has worked with some of DC’s top professional athletes, as well as famous names in the entertainment industry. Her sweet disposition, along with unmatched professional abilities and attention to detail, make her the perfect match for her clients’ needs. Marina holds many certifications, as well as cosmetology licenses in multiple states; she also continues to attended seminars, training, and other industry events to improve her skill level and stay up to date with current trends.
Maryam is a highly skilled esthetician who brings 20 years of experience in the beauty industry to every facial. She has built a loyal clientele with her expertise in signature facials, purifying facials, anti-aging treatments, microdermabrasion, detoxifying treatments, peels, sensitive skin treatment, eye treatments, eyebrow waxing and shaping, hair removal waxing and threading. Maryam was featured in the May 2009 and October 2011 issues of Allure Magazine, commending her fast and painless approach to Brazilian waxing.
Maryam developed her expert skill and talents at the electrolysis medical center in Washington DC, and acquired several beauty professional licenses, including a managing esthetician license and a permanent makeup license.
In 2003 she introduced the threading method to the Washington DC area, providing an alternative hair removal service for those who are sensitive to waxing. This accomplishment was recognized by The Washington Post in 2004, signifying that Maryam was at the top of her profession.

Fred Hawck’s style in hair design is a balance of creative expression, technical detail, and a unique approach to different hair textures. Fred studied theatre and dance in college, and channeled his love of theatre into a stylist position at arena stage and other regional theatre productions. He worked in education for over ten years with L’Oreal Professionel US, including several years as a portfolio artist instructing stylists in hair cutting and styling around the country. Fred has a massive fan base gained almost exclusively through word-of-mouth referrals for his attention grabbing work. Fred’s editorial recognition includes Allure Magazine, Washingtonian Magazine, and his work has been featured in DC Magazine (cover) and Southern Living (bridal feature). He has styled in NY Fashion Week, and dressed hair for celebrities including Julia Ormond, Kate Walsh, Cyndi Lauper, and Mandi Moore.
A city girl at heart (with a dash of Midwestern charm) Renee Benedict is one80’s go-to stylist for modern, effortless looks. A seasoned hairdresser and visionary in her own right, Renee is renowned for educating her clients how to recreate their customized looks at home with low maintenance, versatile styling.
Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Renee is no stranger to the beauty business. Growing up a competitive dancer, Renee was surrounded by costuming, hairstyling, and makeup leading her to recognize her calling to the beauty industry at a young age. It wasn’t long before her innate talent became evident and caught attention of those around her.
Equipped with a rigorously diverse education, Renee pursued academia, receiving her bachelors at Missouri State University and following, a cosmetology education at the Salon Professional Academy. Her inner urbanite and desire to work among the best brought her to DC in 2013.

Carl Ray is the personal makeup artist to Michelle Obama. A self-taught artist, Carl learned and perfected his skill by applying his mother's makeup as a young man. His craft has been well received by his clients, which include celebrities, actors, musicians, models, authors, politicians, and dignitaries. Christin is a native Baltimore girl, living in DC for the last 17 years. She came to DC to attend Howard University and majored in international business with a concentration in finance. While in college, Christin worked in the actuarial science and accounting fields. Talented, motivated, and ambitious Christin began her beauty career as Victoria Secret Beauty Specialist in Manchester, Connecticut. She has since worked for many beauty brands, and managed Prescriptives and MAC Cosmetics in downtown DC for 12 years. At Prescriptives she learned how to custom blend foundation and powder from scratch making her an expert in matching all skin types. Through her personal work and immense experience in the beauty industry, Christin has a gained a knack for classic makeup techniques, familiarity with many products, and the ability to accommodate all cultural requests. Christin specializes in subtle transformations and bringing out the best in each of her clients. Christin also specializes in airbrush makeup applications including tattoo and scar covering. In March 2014, Christin took a leap of faith and began solely working for herself as a freelance makeup artist, and has since joined us at One80 Salon. She spends the majority of her time doing special event makeup, corporate tapings, photo shoots and many weddings. Makeup is her passion, so servicing her clients never feels like work.

Peter Perera was born in the mountains of Kandy, Sri Lanka. He moved to the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, to begin learning and practicing his craft. From then on, Peter has been very involved in the industry, working across the globe from London to New Zealand to Bermuda to Miami.
He has also done extensive work in fashion shows, magazine shoots, photo shoots, and personal styling. His passion for hair color shows in all of his work. While adept at all aspects of haircolor, Peter's notoriety, as a master colorist, came through his hair painting and dimensional balayage techniques.
Peter is regularly completing training all over the world to learn the latest techniques in hair and cosmetics. He is passionate about his art and making people happy through his work. Peter works with his clients to create the best color for their specific hair and bodies. Besides his work, Peter enjoys traveling to other countries to do volunteer work. “I am excited to be part of the one80 team.
